Standing in the Light: The Captive Diary of Catharine Carey Logan, Delaware Valley, Pennsylvania, 17
5/6
This was a wonderful read with an amazing plot that made a person think. I loved the religious themes and the historical accuracy. I wonder how good the representation of the Quaker faith is in this book because I would love to experience this style of church. The portrayal of the Native Americans was on point and accurate, which shocked me. I loved this book and would recommend it to any young person interested in the Quakers, Native Americans or early settlers in the Delaware Vally.
Tarot CArd- Art of Life- Nine of Swords- "The Longer we dwell on our misfortunes, the greater is their power to harm us."- Voltaire - I think the quote sums it up nicely.
