The Royal Diaries is a great series which introduces young girls to their historical idols through the lens of the young queens to be at the tender ages of 12-14 this book lets the reader who is seeking diversity down. Each page does not depict the customs as usual or normal it makes the reader comfortable in their westernized ideology and I don't think it was written very well to express how this young princess would truly feel at this time. I use these novels in the Girl Scout JR Badge Playing the Past.
